Paint mask must be firmly applied along all edges that will be painted.
64 hoods are tricky as the paint mask must line up correctly over the raised lettering.
The key is to apply firm pressure along all edges that will be painted.
And not so much applied pressure in the cavities of the lettering.
Paint masks work by sealing the painted edges, any lifting of these edges and paint will seep in where it is not wanted.
The other option is to try hand painting the raised letters, much like a professional painter may have done on the production line back in the day.
